A Leap of Faith (in my mind at least)

Okay I can't help but take pictures of him....he's always doing something interesting (plus a few other reasons =D ) lol. Thankfully he doesn't ever break his leg or something. It's been a wonderful Saturday, and looking forward to a busy Sunday. Happy weekend everybody!

Mini Books

I got the idea for this little book banner out of a magazine I found awhile ago. It looks magical to me for some reason. I wanted it for one of my pictures, but I ended up liking it so much I think it will become a permanent decoration in my room across my window.

A Simple Bottle

My great aunt gave this little jar to me a long time ago. I remember her sitting me down and telling me how special it was between the two of us because the initialing on it says A.Lancaster. Her name is Anita Lancaster and she was so excited to be able to pass it on to me because my initials were the same. I have no idea where she got the bottle from, but I've always treasured it.

Not Mine but Yours

I chose to take this picture today because I'm having to make certain decisions (not big ones, but decisions nevertheless) and want to make sure I'm not choosing what I want but what God wants me to do. I'd rather be doing something uncertain with God behind me then something certain without Him. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, it's a bit easier to read. =) Night!

No Time like the Present

I had next to no time today to get a picture. But Momma went grocery shopping today and bought some flowers, and tonight I liked how the lamp light was shining through the vase. Sometimes I like crazy days like this one, not a moment to sit down. But I can honestly say I'm looking forward to a quiet Wednesday. Goodnight everyone! =)

"Lord make me a rainbow"

This picture has absolutely nothing to do with anything I did today, but it's been a picture I've wanted to take for a while. Paper and oil pastels. Getting back into the swing of things today, still feel like I'm on vacation though in a way. Still got lots of school to do tonight...good thing I enjoy it! =)

Easter Day

We tried making it to the sunrise service this morning in Cedar Key, but that didn't happen... We did however go and got there just as it was ending lol. So we went back and packed up and took some pictures. I thought I'd help Luke out and hold the hair out of his face lol. I don't think he likes this one so much becuz of that, but it's the only good one I have. All the other's he was trying to make me fall.. :P *sigh* Back home now... Had an awesome time and it went by too quickly. :)

The Last Sunset

Today's boating trip was not as successful as yesterdays. And, I didn't last as long as I did yesterday. Jordan and I relaxed by the pool for the second half of the day while everyone else was out. I think this last sunset tonight was the prettiest one I've seen so far. And, those birds aren't edited in, they just so happened to fly by when I was taking a picture! =D

A Day on the Boat

Today we spent all day out on the boat exploring...good fishing spots =). It was actually quite fun! We didn't catch anything big but we did catch some trout. I felt so bad because mine hadn't been out of the water 2 minutes and he died... :( We're all just a little burnt now...haha. Oh, and Luke got here today too! <3 It's been a lovely, tiring day.

A Time to Relax

We arrived here around 2pm today and have been doing all sorts of lazy and relaxing things all day. There's a dock in front of our condo that the boys have been fishing off of and that's mostly what's in this collage. I took so many pictures today I couldn't decide on one. We also took a bike ride around the little town...lots of neat old, store fronts. I've got a photoshoot on the brain.... Can't wait for tomorrow!

Edible Bird Nests

I'm not going to lie. This was a last minute picture. But it is something I did today, amongst the other ridiculous amount of things I did. I might add that they are very delicious...just in time for Easter =D Now it's time to start packin' up for vacation tomorrow! Woo hoo!

I am the Vine

I've seen these vines growing at work for a while now and have been meaning to take a picture. I finally got around to it today. I've always had a fascination with vines. They're just so pretty. In a spiritual sense, they remind me that I'm not alone and that I'm not my own. I'm connected to my Savior, the one who created me and knows me better than myself, what have I to fear.

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Breaking Through

I love how the light is enveloping this heart, shaped leaf. I can't help but say I've been feeling rather discouraged lately. And, not until I uploaded this picture today did I start to feel somewhat better. I think for the next week I want my daily posting to be of something I can see God in. I think I need that for myself and have even been discouraged with this project because I've been so worried and uptight about getting a "good" picture each day all the while feeling so drained. That mind set isn't going to carry me through the other 289 days left. So without even intending to do this, this is my first picture starting this week that God has used to help me in some small way. This little heart that is being enveloped in light along its edges and even through it reminds me of my heart and that reminder I need ever so often that Christ is there loving me. More than anyone ever could and that He will always be there for me, holding me close and wrapping me in light.

Communication

It was an interesting day to say the least. I was reminded of how important open communication is with those close to us. From that I was reminded of how true that is with Christ too. Nothing makes sense and I feel lost when I'm not communicating with him either. It was something good to be reminded of before the week starts :) Looking forward to the end of it though... hallelujah, vacation! Happy end of the week!

All Day

Any day that I get to spend the whole day with Luke is always a wonderful day. Along with the numerous things we did today, we went fishing and I caught a fish! The only catch of the day might I say =P This picture was taken on one of our drives home earlier in the day. It was a pretty relaxing Saturday. :)

The End of Today

At the end of this day, I am worn out. Being out of the house all day has always worn me out as it is, but put the gym, cleaning, and driving all around Orlando all day long on top of it and I'm ready to go to bed early. However, not before I play with my Lighroom software that finally came in the mail today ^_^. Yay!

The Dogs

Alana was tired today :P I thought she needed to get her picture taken since she's one of the last member's of the family that hasn't been featured in my blog yet. We'll see if Lily ever gets in here. Poor Lily, I really don't mind her much so long as she doesn't do something disgusting like poop in my room or pee on my piano books. Yeah..I'm still getting over that. I'm almost there.

The Perfect Tree

I believe this is the perfect oak, tree. I have a strange infatuation with trees and I go running by this one everyday =). I've always wanted to see a Sequoia tree. They are just so awesomely old. I think it's neat think of all the events that have gone on in the world since they've been around. Yes, I know...me and my strange tree talk. lol

Date Night

Yay! I finally got a silhouette picture! And, a pretty cool one at that ;). Took it after dinner in the villages while we were walking around. That place is so neat. And, the dancing is so fun! I love date nights with Luke, they are the best!

P.S. I've noticed my exclamation points in this font look like a lower case L . How annoying. I promise they're not typos :)

Experimenting

This was a random experiment I tried today. I think I needed a wider, rimmed bowl to get the effect I wanted but it looked kinda neat anyway. And, the orange was quite yummy!:) Anyone watching me in my driveway, sitting in the sun, with a pitcher of water, and dropping an orange slice into it over and over again would have thought I was crazy. Good thing the only person out there was Shane watering the plants :P

Not in Control

This week has been a running none stop week and I am sad it's over in some ways but glad that this coming week will be a bit slower :). I like this picture because it reminds me of something I was feeling this week. At times I was feeling overwhelmed, sad, and stressed. Sometimes I don't understand why things happen and I get stuck in this little rut. But whenever I finally come to the realization of that and look past the problems towards God, I can breath again. Looking up to God I see a bigger picture and it simply helps me breath smoothly again knowing that I'm not in control.

Makeup Time

Today I did these girly's makeup for prom :) It turned out awesome and of course it helped that they are so beautiful anyways. =D

A Shoot with Grace

Woke up this morning and loaded a bunch of stuff up in the back of the car in preparation for Grace's photo shoot. Caleb and Jordan were wonderful assistants :) And, we had so much fun!! Grace was an awesome model and willing to try all sorts of my crazy ideas. We definitely had our share of laughing.. More pictures to come on fb tomorrow (hopefully).

Take time to smell the roses

Crazy long day and it's not over yet...about to have a girls night :). Had a piano lesson earlier and afterwards stopped at Mcdonald's with my student to get a treat. And, snapped a few shots, relaxed, and had a very intelligent conversation. She's so cute and a tad crazy, in a good way =).

Be Spontaneous

This would be my handsome brother who likes to go on adventures with me. We left before sunset with a few picture ideas, but ended up with these. I, personally, like pictures better anyways with people in them.
I've just come up with the idea of doing a story with pictures. From five photos I want to make a story come alive. We'll see how it goes =)

Sunsets

Long day at work today...and again it was raining. But today, I enjoyed it. Also helped stamp wedding envelopes for a friend with friends :). Then, on the way home couldn't help but stop and take a picture of the sunset. It was honestly so much more beautiful than this shot could capture though.

A Lovely Lunch

Had lunch today with these lovely ladies in downtown Clermont. :) It was quite special. Forgot my camera too...twice today when I really should have had it. So this picture was taken with Amy's camera =)

A Full House

Got the idea for this from Ms. Sherrie :) Everyone was over for subs tonight and so this is what our hall was filled with. A good ending to the week :)

Running on Empty

Today was a very, very full day with very little sleep (in my opinion). Luke's family came down this morning, which is always fun! Luke took this picture of Joseph as he was impatiently running around the house asking if he could go swimming. He's such a cute, little man. =)

St. Pete

This morning Amy and I randomly decided to go to the beach. Took us just about all day to get there... but we eventually got there. :) Didn't get too much time to take pictures, so this is about all I got. And, I can't say I'm a huge fan of this one but I can't complain since I'm trying to finish this thing and go to bed!
