Flack & Nollmeyer Wedding

Okay, a quick one for tonight. Lovely (long) day, lovely bride, lovely wedding :). What a day! Time to get some shut eye.

Rehearsal Time

Why is it when you aren't in need of anything you can find all the clothes in the world that you want, but when you really need something you can't find a thing at all?? This is just simply how it works. Don't ya know? Oh, to be a woman :).

Spent this evening at a wedding rehearsal, getting ready for tomorrow. The music pieces are gorgeous! Praying for peace and calmness for the bride and groom. It'll be a lovely day :)

Preparations

Despite an unsuccessful shopping trip, shopping wise ;) It has been a lovely day. This evening I've been working on wedding preparations for this couple's wedding. With the rehearsal dinner tomorrow night and the wedding Thursday, it's coming quickly. How exciting =D

New Toys :)

After picking up a few lenses this morning (for a wedding this week), I've been in awe of them! Not sure how I'm going to feel when I need to return them. But it's a fun treat for a few days! And, I got to use them this evening in an engagement shoot I did for a friend. What a fun shoot it was!

Christmas Day

What a wonderful Christmas it's been! Though I'm always a bit saddened at the end of the day. I love this season, good thing we keep the tree up til New Years.

I'm so blessed. Couldn't have wished for more. A God who cared enough about me to send His son to be my Savior, a wonderful family, a God given boy, and the ability to give presents to my loved ones. *Sigh* Yes, I'm a happy girl.

Little Lights

I don't care if this was even a good quality picture, it wouldn't come near (no where near) showing how absolutely breathtaking it was to see so many little lights. It was spectacular! Everywhere you looked tonight at First Baptist of Orlando, the light was quickly spreading, until the whole sanctuary was filled! Such a beautiful representation of what can be with Christ to our world. Merry Christmas Eve!

Two Sleeps

I know you all are probably tired of seeing this picture, but it's been a part of my day. Therefore, it is the picture of the day. So far, it's been so fun! I can't wait to see who wins.

Christmas, why do you always go by so fast? Only two more sleeps til the big day is here. Two days til the celebration of the birth of our Savior.

Christmas Date

I've been looking forward to this night all week! Luke took me on a fancy Christmas date =D. We went to a quaint little bistro restaurant and it was delicious! Had a few adventures, went up two different elevators I swear were over a hundred years old. It was so neat! And, walked around magical park all lit up for Christmas. Goodnight world! Only 3 days now!

Did I mention I woke up and I could breath this morning?! Praise God! It's finally over! 

Bubble Baths

The best and slowest part of my day has been a lovely bubble bath this evening. Well, I can't say that. Running around town with Caleb and Jordan was a good part as well. But the one involving no stress, that has to be the bubble bath. It's so nice to slow down and hearing yourself think.. Now I sound like my mom :). 4 days til Christmas!

A Little Sunshine

While sitting inside this morning I complained about the heat. About the way this Christmas is going to be hot... And, though that might be true, once I stepped outside I didn't want to go back in. It was so beautiful out today. Some sunshine is something I unknowingly was in some desperation for. Somehow it felt like a renewing. I felt like I could breath easier (not really because I'm still congested, but you know what I mean).

Mess Making

Yummy! One of my creations from today. Oh, what a mess frosting cookies makes! Every year I try to lessen the mess from the beginning but it never fails, the kitchen is always a wreck. Powered sugar everywhere! And, cookies lined up on all the counters. Different colored frosting bowls here and there. Maybe I'm just a messy cookie maker... It's always worth it in the end, and who says making a little mess every now and then isn't fun. :P

Can't Complain

Well I guess I shouldn't complain, this is the first time this year that I've been sick. Spent the rest of the day after church, with some friends. And, enjoyed a few Christmas plays and cookie exchange. But I must say I haven't been that tired in a long time! Took this in front of the church :)

My Home Day

So after this morning, I decided today needed to be a stay at home day. I need to completely kick this cold! But I don't mind this home thing to an extent, it just means Christmas movies, cooking, wrapping, editing, school, and crying...what? I can't help it with all these sappy Christmas movies :).

Rose is A Rose is A Rose is A Rose

So I can't seem to kick this cold completely. It keeps coming back! Sadly, I didn't get to try not one of the Christmas cookies I made today, not even the dough. However, this evening's dinner out completely made my day! Matthew's Steak house! Delicious and very festive... 9 days til Christmas!

Christmas with Amy

The first gift of Christmas! *Squeals* My very favorite hair products that are no longer in stores! Amy and I had our Christmas night tonight. We opened presents and watched Miracle on 34th Street. Now I'm excited to do my hair in the morning! Don't judge me... you wouldn't understand until you tried the stuff :D

Campsite

Now I know this picture (or one similar to it) is on my fb already, but it's too cute not to share on here! And, I want to remember it on this day when I look back over the days in this year. Will be doing a camping themed shoot tomorrow with this and just picked up the final pieces for it today!

December Moon

The moon is absolutely gorgeous tonight! The way the thin clouds were moving so quickly across the sky, gave the moon an eerie look. This is December's moon, the last of the year. It'll be gone and once it's back it'll be the new year. Only 12 days til Christmas now. Where has the time gone? Oh Florida, please get cold! It might help it feel a bit more like Christmas time.

Yes, More.

Today was filled with more shopping. Now I know it sounds like a lot, but you have to divide it up a bit so that you can shop with different people. Such as Luke :) And, then later on did some more with Caleb and Jordan so they could get some of their shopping in. Had so much fun with them walking around downtown, checking out all the little shops down there, listening to Christmas music, and enjoying the drizzly weather (slightly resembling a snowy winter's day).

Cake Night

Why does everything seem like it's going by so fast? I get so fickle about things. If I'm not completely busy, I get bored and feel unproductive. And, when I am busy I feel like I don't have time for things I want to enjoy around Christmas time. *Sigh* Whatever circumstance however I'm thankful for what God has put in front of me.
This is Mom's Easter Cake, for the Jesus Christmas party. So cute!

Christmas Shopping

Tonight I am simply ready to drop from exhaustion. Good exhaustion. The day started out with Christmas shopping with the best friend, and shopping for a very long time. We then, raced to the nail salon and thoroughly enjoyed that! And, the day ended with a Christmas party :) A lovely one at that. Oh and of course some wrapping presents at the very end of the day.

Once A Year

I am not feeling well this evening, or this day for that matter. Have been laying low hoping that I will feel better for mine and Amy's exciting Christmas shopping day tomorrow. :) This has allowed for time to finish up editing some shoots from the beginning of the week and some present wrapping.

An Evening Out

Now I can talk about today =) Lots of shopping today and driving around all over the place. Spent the most time in a huge guitar store! I have never seen anything like it in my life. And, then tonight spent the evening with Amy and her family at the Animal kingdom lodge restaurant for Amy's birthday. It was lovely!

Too Much On This Plate

Okay so, feeling slightly overwhelmed this evening at the coming week! Deep breath. I just hope I don't forget anything. I think I'll just sit here and do my school and pretend I have nothing to do! Yes, that's what I'll do. On the up side I get to wake up and look out the window and see my love pressure washing my house =D. And, then some sho...wait. I can't tell you all about tomorrow. What will tomorrow's post be about?

Round Two

I spent a large majority of this day doing school, working on the book of Proverbs now. It's a nice change :) Also ran around picking up different photo props for this evenings photoshoot. Which now brings me to this picture =) I had a lovely time taking pictures with this family tonight. Round two and I must say the weather was much prettier tonight.

Special Sundays

Have I mentioned how much I love first Sunday's of the month? Well I do. And, they are even more fun when my best friend comes. And, we spend the rest of the afternoon talking, search winndixie for a lost ring, shopping, and .....eating donuts? Yes, yum! Only for a second though, and then I had to deal with a headache for the rest of the day. O well! I guess it's worth it once in awhile.

ReTake

These late nights are really starting to get to me...*sigh*
Did a family shoot this evening, and these little guys were such awesome picture takers! Big smiles and all. :) However, the wind near the lake was quite unbearable, as well as the lighting due to the time with the cloudiness. So, continuation of shoot later this week =). As for tonight, simply relaxing. Okay..bed time!

Christmas Ride

Photo quality isn't the greatest, but hey what do you expect with just a camera phone. Who cares about that anyhow?! Luke and I went on a Christmas carriage ride, with jingle bells and all. It was so fun! As was walking around Light Up Clermont and seeing all the festive lights and oodles of people. *Sigh* What a romantic night :)

Baby It's Cold Outside

Okay, it's officially cold. I've been sitting working on my school for a large part of this afternoon and only finally got warm a few hours ago when Jordan and Caleb decided to start a fire in the fireplace. First one of the season! How exciting! Was going to make some Christmas cookies, but mom is currently making Peppermint woopie pies (fine by me! :D). So looks like the Christmas cookie making will commence on a later day... =D

Change of Seasons

Don't you just love it when you wake up after a cold front has come through and the rest of the house is cold, but you're nice and toasty under your covers? Oh, the days of freezing toes. Slipped on the fuzzy socks for the first time this year and hopefully it will be like this till Christmas time.
Took this pretty girls sweet sixteen pictures today. I must say doing single person pictures is a nice change from multiple people :).

300

Okay, it's not a flower..but it'll have to do for today. Still so much to do and it's getting late. Dinner is just now being served. Gotta love late night dinners.. :) 

So today is Day 300, only 65 to go. O my, o my! Can't believe I've been doing this for almost a year now. Eek!

Lazy Day Weather

Today's been a stay at home kinda day. The weather this afternoon was perfect for it too. I'd say progress slowed down about that time, because all I wanted to do was be lazy :). But I did manage to get the car cleaned (in the rain =D ) and many other household chores. Now it's time to crack down on the knitting and school work...

A Few New Things

This last Sunday of November has been a day of new things. New church with Luke this morning to hear a certain man speak that I've been waiting to meet for a long while now. Checked out the farmer's market downtown, which has been going on ever since I moved to Clermont but I've never gone. And last but not least, did my family's Christmas pictures this evening. Not any easy thing. But lets not go into that now =D.

Worth Waiting For

You'd think I'd sleep in after yesterday's shopping festivities, but no... I finished up working on my website and posted it this morning. www.ambermaliaphotography.com  So excited about it!
Spent the rest of the day with Luke and the kids. Had a lovely lunch out, shot some pictures with Lydia, and removed a rather large piece of wood out of Joseph's foot. Yes, it has been a good day.

Shop Away The Day

Though mom and I decided not to do our early Black Friday shopping, that doesn't mean we didn't go shopping or spend as much time shopping. We didn't get out there til late morning, but we didn't get back til after dark. Lots of fun as usual and at the end of the day lots of foot aches. So...we topped the day off with a pedicure. Oh, one has never felt so lovely! Sparkly red for the holidays. :)

Blessings

This has been a truly, wonderful Thanksgiving. I have so much to be grateful for. Whenever I take the time to sit down and count my blessings, I always come away feeling so content and ashamed at the same time wondering why I don't thank God everyday for the things I've been given. I am so blessed.

I did a shoot with this wonderful family this morning. Last minute, but I'm loving the way they turned out. Now if only the boys were looking in this one...

So after searching through all the black friday ads, I came to the realization that there just aren't any amazing deals we were interesting in. Therefore, Mom and I have called off our early black friday shopping and will go later in the day. That way, we won't look like zomies for our family shoot tomorrow evening. Goodnight everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Let the Christmas festivities begin!

Pie Time Take 2

This day has been filled with an array of different things. This morning we started off with a makeup party here at the house. Then, the day of shopping began :) Nothing like some girl shopping that'll wear you out. But that's what ice cream is for right?! And, it's finally pie time. This is the second apple pie I've made this year. Next the pecan tort... And, I'm thinking this night calls for a Christmas movie.

It's beginning to look a lot like....

Last day of work for the week :) As I looked out the door of the office, I could see and hear the men working on covering the trees in white Christmas lights. And, the top of city hall now has it's Christmas tree displayed on the outside porch. It's very festive =D... The Thanksgiving holiday preparations have already began, as far as grocery shopping is concerned. The pie making shall start tomorrow. :) And, so shall some shopping (and I don't mean grocery shopping).

P.S. I would like to be in a Winter Wonderland like this right now...

A New Style

Tonight calls for a different kind of picture. I cut my bangs tonight and I love them! Now tomorrow I might think differently when they are blowing all in my face but for now it's something different :).

It was a wonderfully full day at work. And, I came home to a dark house without power. Only lasted for a couple hours, but we had fun running around finding candles to light up each and every room in the house. I'm thankful for a warm house to come home to everyday, where I don't have to be anyone but me. =D

Something Different

Facials on a Sunday morning? That's exactly what I did today, for a girls Sunday school. Love doing it! Then, church, Awana, and Chipotle (twice in one day, that just can't be right :D ). Gearing up now for a full day at work tomorrow and a few shoots this week. Can I please see my bed now? I'm overwhelmed just thinking about everything that's happening this week! A busy, good looking week =D

Not Too Quickly

Today, I rose before the sun did :). And, spent the majority of the day in Orlando with the bf (that would be best friend in this case ^_^ ). We headed to Park Avenue for a special treat from Aunt Steph and had lots of fun looking in the shops, especially the Vera Wang exclusive dress store. Fun fun :) Now it's time to cuddle up with lovie and watch a movie....Don't come too quickly Sunday morning, it's time to slow down for just a bit.

Fluffy Ears

I had my first day back to work since the fire. How good it felt in many ways! Though, it won't be steady again til the beginning of the year it was a good change up. And, I might say how strange it is to come home from work and have Luke greet me at the door of my own house... :) Walked to the donkey rescue farm this evening with Luke. And, I couldn't help but take a pictures of this little cuties hair. They were so fluffy!

Snow Berries

These little, blue berries remind me of a frosted Christmas tree. This has indeed been a very stressful day, one in which I'd rather not talk about. One good thing however, is the fact that my camera remote and flower petal came in the mail. :)

Bokeh Effect

Okay, experimentation night! I think this Bokeh effect is so cool! These are Christmas lights with this flower diecut on a piece of paper that I'm pressing against the front of the lens. Last minute idea and it turned out pretty neat.

What shall I say about today...it was filled with many lovely things? Including a morning with my favorite guy and a Christmas movie (don't judge me :) ) this evening... :) Yes, it was lovely.

New Adventures, New Places

Headed out for a shoot with this lovely lady earlier today and got some awesome shots! In love with the backgrounds too :) Did a lot of driving around and had a few adventures, met some interesting people, and got eaten alive by mosquito's. Can't say that last part was very enjoyable, but we did have a fun time slapping them off of each other. Excited to shoot my family's pictures here sometime this coming week (hopefully).

It's That Time Again

We have a tradition around here (my family that is) to decorate for Christmas on Halloween. We're running a bit behind this year. Brought all the decorations down from the attic today though. And, set it all up whilst listening to Christmas music, and very special Christmas music at that. A Dolly Parton cd we've been listening to every year since I was very little. So, needless to say it brings back so many wonderful memories. Eggnog, Christmas picture clothes shopping, and knitting while watching a Christmas movie. It doesn't get much better then that. Hey, I'm just enjoying it before it's gone again. Thankful for quiet nights like this one.

Pretties

I'm in love with these hair bows! They are so fun to make too! These are the colors we'll be coordinating to for our family Christmas shoot. Now finding the clothes to make everyone match will be the tricky part. This was about the extent of my productiveness for the day. But that's okay because it's a day to rest. Tomorrow morning...hitting this room with some hardcore cleaning!

Smaller is Better

Okay, I've gotten my second wind tonight. I can do this. Well from what wasn't going to be a very busy Saturday turned into one late last night. Running all day, but a good kind of busy. I did get to go on an adventure with Caleb in the woods to find pine cones for a friend of mine. We have a loner pine tree in the way back that is different than normal pine trees around here. It produces miniature pine cones that are absolutely perfect and cute in every way! We found them and delivered them :). Then, a bonfire with some friends tonight and yummy, yummy chili!

Somethings Gone A Missin'

So I've just sat down to do a project, all excited, and realize I need my hot, glue gun which I had used the day before. Well, sadly the bag in which it was in and a bunch of other things I loved dearly is missing and I don't believe it will be found. I'm thinking someone through it away and the trash went out this morning... So this is about how far I got with my project tonight.
p.s. This title makes me laugh. I'm tired...

It's Time

Made these holiday wreaths with a special friend today! I'd say it's time to get in the spirit before it's gone. Thanksgiving is only two weeks away now! It's coming so fast I'm not sure I'm ready... But isn't that how it always goes.
Hibachi grill and High Five = Date Night. Umm...yum!! It's safe to say I have the best guy in the world. =D Just sayin.
